Disease Progression Risk Calculator and Surgical Prioritization Algorithm

This project was tailored to patients undergoing various neoadjuvant therapies for breast cancer and aims at prioritising patients for surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic healthcare restrictions.

Our client requested a programme that automatically calculates the patient's risk of disease progression based on patient and disease features, as well as the length of time since treatment began, taking into consideration the critical window of opportunity for intervention after chemotherapy ends.

This tailor-made program extensively utilised conditional and branching logic, as well as calculated fields, to produce an interactive database of risk and recommendations that streamlines the process and provides a track record for audit and research.
